Overprotective NFL

The National Football League has crossed the line the past few weeks with fines and suspensions. Ed Reed of the Baltimore Ravens barely bumped into a Pittsburgh Steeler and gets fined one weeks paycheck and a game. A NFL ref swears by accident and gets fined one weeks paycheck. The league has too much power and should be more forgiving for minor incidents. Furthermore the NFL is acting like the public who sometimes hold too much criticism of the police, firefighters, paramedics and healthcare workers and doctors. Therefore people are thinking that punishments are justified when the punishments are not. The league should not have been harsh on players and referees. It should have been a reprimand and a smaller fine.
